'Sons of Anarchy' Spin-Off Update: Will Charlie Hunnam Return As Jax Teller In 'Mayans Motorcycle Club'?

The "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off is still in its pre-production phase and fans are still optimistic that Charlie Hunnam will reprise his role as Jax Teller.

Previously, it has been rumored that Hunnam will have no role in the upcoming series because of his alleged fight with the show's creator Kurt Sutter.

However, Sutter recently teased fans about the spin-off series called "Mayans Motorcycle Club" on social media and it seems to suggest that Hunnam will have a cameo.

In a photo he posted on Instagram, it features Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) and Marcus Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) with a caption "My favorite kind of family. Dysfunctional. #MayansMC #SOA."

According to Inquistr, Hunnam might have his comeback in "Mayans MC" though the series finale of "Sons of Anarchy" made it appear that he was dead.

"By the end of Sons of Anarchy, Jax had worked out a temporary truce with Alvarez, so it would make sense if Hunnam reprises his role one last time," the source said. "That being said, Jax ended his own life at the end of Season 7, which makes it kind of difficult for him to come back."

"Jax's part in the new series all depends on the time frame. If the spin-off starts before the events in Sons of Anarchy, then it's entirely possible that Jax will make a cameo," the source continued.

Many believe that the new series will offer a lot of surprises that avid fans should watch out for as the show's creator posted on Twitter, a few weeks ago, a photo of Rivera with a caption "Working hard on some sweet surprises. #MayansMC."

Though there has no clear updates on the new series, FX has said that it would focus on biker culture.

"[Mayans MC] will be a dark, visceral family drama that takes a new look at the most American of icons, the 1 percent outlaw, this time, reflected through a Latino lens."

Full details on the "Sons of the Anarchy" spinoff are yet to be announced by the FX network.
