Speculations about the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 continue to surface online as it one of the most favored topics by tech enthusiasts nowadays.

A new report from TechAdvisor said that the highly anticipated device might come out this October during the upcoming Microsoft event at New York City. The device is said to be unveiled together with the latest Window 10 update.

The source said that "Microsoft launched the Pro 4 in October 2015, so it's very unlikely it will launch an updated model before 12 months has passed."

Previously, it has been speculated that the release will happen next year, 2017 due to the delay of Windows 10 Redstone 2 update's arrival. Also, the company reportedly wants the inclusion of Intel Kaby Lake processor in the device.

Lately, a developer posted a photo on Twitter, revealing that Microsoft has a lot in store for its fans. It seems like a Surface device is "coming soon" in "2016" and three more devices in 2017.

Moreover, the device is expected to sport a 12.3-inch PixelSense display like its predecessors. It is also rumored to get launched in a 2K and 4K display models; adding that the device is expected to feature a 4K Ultra HD display, 16 GB of RAM, 16-megapixel rear camera, and an 8megapixel front camera.

There were reports that suggest that the Microsoft Pro 5 may be run by the sixth-generation Skylake chip, however, there were speculations that it will likely house a Kaby Lake processor.

It is projected to offer at least 7 hours of battery life which makes it more competitive than its predecessors and come with USB-C support for charging instead of USB 3.0 port used by Pro 4.

The device's is expected to come out with an improved and developed Surface Pen, which could pack in a rechargeable battery that charges wirelessly when attached to the tablet magnetically.

The camera of the upcoming device is also believed to get updates together with the latest versions of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
