Due to the recent Samsung S7 fiasco, the Korean tech giant's reputation has suffered a lot. In order to win back their fans and continue the domination of the smartphone industry, analysts feel that the Samsung Galaxy S8 could be the critical device.

The Galaxy S8 is expected to be launched at the beginning of 2017, in line with Samsung's tradition of rolling out new flagship smartphones.

Latest information from Cnet stated that the Galaxy S8 model would be featuring AI feature of Viv, replacing Samsung's own S Voice. With Samsung purchasing Viv, AI seems to be gaining momentum.

The report also confirms the earlier reports of the smartphone coming up with two variants- one 5.1-inch and the other 5.5-inch.  The 5.5-inch device is expected to have 4K display whereas the 5.1 inch is anticipated to feature a 2K AMOLED display.

From earlier reports, it seems the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 will have ARM Mali-G71 GPU under its hood. An octa-core Snapdragon SoC  is expected to make it a cut, making it a very powerful performer than most users could imagine!

The Samsung Galaxy S8 variants are expected to be not of flat screens .They would rather be having  the curved screen designs.

Other rumored features include Corning Gorilla Glass 5.0 glass, an iris scanner, fingerprint scanner and wireless charging in the new Samsung Galaxy S8 as per Tech Radar. There are also reports the battery capacity in the new Samsung Galaxy S8 could be higher than the earlier Galaxy models.

With all the rumored specs put in place, the Samsung Galaxy S8 could be one of the flagship smartphones of 2017. Whether these rumored specs and features are true or not, Samsung does have a lot of pressure to redeem itself. Perhaps the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 could be the one smartphone that earns back the trust from  the customers. Stay tuned for more updates on the Samsung Galaxy S8.
