Xiaomi Redmi 4 News: What We Know So Far On Specs & Features

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is yet to announce the Redmi 4. However, leaks and rumors have surfaced online on the smaller sibling of the Redmi Note 4.

From the leaks, it seems that the Redmi 4 will be having a metal unibody design with a metallic finish. The smartphone is 5 inches tall.  The Xiaomi Redmi 4 is expected to be a Dual SIM smartphone and running on Android 6.0.1 OS.

Looking at the screen, 5-inch screen size it has Gorilla glass coating at the top, with an expected full HD resolution and high pixel density.

According to Digit, under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by a 2GHZ octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. The smartphone would also have a graphics processor and 3 GB of RAM. This combination of octa-core processor and RAM capacity should ensure in smooth handling when it comes to multi-tasking applications and also during high-end gaming.

Battery capacity in Redmi 4 is anticipated to be around 4000mAh and fast charging feature seems to be available for the Redmi 4 model. So the device seems to be well equipped for heavy use. However, the battery seems to be of the non-removable type.

When it comes to the shooting capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 is expected to have 13 MP Rear camera as well as 5MP Front camera. Common features like face detection, Geo-Tagging, Touch Focus, Digital Zoom, Auto-focus, Panorama Mode, HRD, Video recording  seems to be incorporated in the camera .

The internal storage memory is expected to be around 32 GB which can be expanded to 128 GB with help of the microSD card. Xiaomi Redmi 4 would be supporting FM Radio as per GSM Arena.

Based on the rumors and leaks, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 seems to have interesting set of specs and features, especially the huge battery. Stay tuned as we hear more on the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone.
