Rumors about the upcoming "Marco Polo" Season 3 continue to circulate on the web since fans are very excited to know about the fate of their favorite characters in the show.

New reports suggested that Kublai Khan will die in the most awaited series since this is what really happens in history. Because of that, actor Benedict Wong is speculated to portray a new character.

There were also rumors saying that Wong is not going to reprise his role in the third installment and that Netflix is now in doubt of renewing the contract of the "Doctor Strange" star for the reason that the actor is asking for a talent fee increase in "Marco Polo" Season 3.

However, fans are optimistic enough that Netflix will do its very best to get Benedict Wong back since it was said that "Marco Polo" Season 3 will never be the same without the "Prometheus" actor's presence.

Meanwhile, there have been speculations that the show will focus more on Tum Wu's Hundred Eyes, the trainer of Marco Polo and the new Mongol Khanate Minister of Martial Arts.

Rumors about Hundred Eyes being the spotlight of the new series perhaps begin, following the posts of the series creator John Fusco on his Twitter account.

"A rumor can travel the world before the truth has even put on its slippers'--#HundredEyes #DrunkenTao  @MarcoPoloMP@Netflix @NetflixAsia," he tweets with Tum Wu's photo.

"The remarkable Tom Wu #HundredEyes #Wudang," he captioned in a photo of Hundred Eyes.

"Difficult to explain the vastness of the ocean to a fish living in a puddle #HundredEyes @MarcoPoloMP @NetflixAsia," he captioned in another photo of Wu.

Previously, it has been reported that "Marco Polo" Season 3 might be cancelled because Netflix has only alloted a humble budget for the production of the third installment.

It has been known that the Netflix series has the most expensive production cost, but not the highest ratings.

"Marco Polo" Season 3 is expected to premiere on 2017.
