Google Pixel vs Huawei P9 Review: Can Google Challenge Huawei With Its Specs & Features?

The Google Pixel has definitely made an impact in the smartphone industry. Today, here is a comparison between the Google Pixel and the Huawei P9.

When it comes to overall physical design, the Huawei P9 is taller, wider and denser than the Google Pixel model. The P9 smartphone is having a more pronounced sleek look compared to Google Pixel.

From the display perspective, Google's own smartphone sports a 5-inch AMOLED screen whereas Huawei model sports a 5.2-inch screen. The pixel per inch is higher for the Pixel model.

Looking under the hoods, Google Pixel is powered by1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 whereas the Huawei smartphone is powered by 1.8 GHz octa-core  HiSilicon Kirin 955 according to NDTV Gadgets. Although the CPU speed and number of cores are higher for the Huawei model, it seems from a performance perspective Pixel tops the charts thanks to the latest Qualcomm processor.

The Google Pixel runs on Android 7.1 operating system whereas the Huawei smartphone was launched with its operating system as Android 7.0. So, Google Pixel smartphone has the latest updated Android version.

The Google smartphone comes with 12.3 MP rear camera and a 8 MP front camera. The P9 model comes with 12 MP rear camera and a 8 MP front camera according to Phone Arena. The Google smartphone seems to be a better choice for the shutterbugs.

Although the Google Pixel smartphone packs a decent battery capacity, it is lesser than that of the Huawei model. Pixel model has higher RAM Capacity than the P9 smartphone.

The Huawei model has expandable storage options, unlike the Google model. The Huawei P9 provides expandable storage capacity up to 256 GB.

It seems that Google Pixel has the edge in most areas. However, Huawei P9 did win some of the other areas.  We let the readers decide the winner.
