With the previous W2016 that was only available in China, Samsung now unveils yet another Android flip phone in the form of W2017, which was just announced in the Chinese market. Will it make it in the US this time?

Similar to W2016, the W2017 (via sammobile.com)is also one of Samsung's best smartphones, which are made available initially in China. This particular smartphone retains the clamshell design that a lot of people have liked years ago.

Dimensions are almost the same with its previous model and it has a 4.2-inch full HD AMOLED display. The smartphone is also powered by a Snapdragon 820 along with 4GB of ram and decent internal storage capacity of 64GB . This is still expandable via microSD.

As for the camera, it has a 12-megapixel rear snapper with f/1.9 for those perfect bokeh shots and is also capable of shooting 4K videos. The front camera has a decent 5-megapixel camera perfect for live chats like Skype.

The phone also has top of the line features like fast wireless charging, fingerprint sensor and also has support for Samsung Pay. It also has a dual-SIM capability that supports 4G LTE and is covered in a full-metal body casing. The Always On Display feature is also going to make a comeback with this model.

Again, like its predecessor, the W2017 is very unlikely to be released outside China and may only be acquired by importing it. The price is yet to be revealed officially, but speculations say that it would be around 20,000 yuan or simply $3,000 and yes, it could be that expensive.

Finding the W2016 smartphone for online ordering is tricky enough, but not impossible, but it may be less or more challenging finding the W2017, which is due to be out soon enough.

Stay tuned for updates and news on Samsung's W2017 as the fans might find ways on how to import it easily soon enough.
