It looks like we are finally getting the much awaited generation two update for "Pokémon GO" sooner than expected.

This breaking news was discovered by dedicated "Pokémon GO" site Pokémon GO Hub, which has been meticulously going through the game's metadata to find out what Niantic Labs has in store for us.

The site has discovered a metadata dump in the recent 0.45.0 APK update, which contains family definitions for the entire Generation Two.

The new code includes all the names from the Generation Two Pokémon, like Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile, the generation's starting Pokémon, as well as their respective evolutions.

Also worth noting is the addition of Celebi, the Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation Two.

The Generation One Legendary Pokémon, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Mewtwo, are not even out yet, but now we have to wait for five more Legendary Pokémon, Legendary Beasts Raikou, Entei and Suicune, and Tower Duo Lugia and Ho-Oh.

With the recent discovery, it looks like we have to add Mythical Pokemon Mew and Celebi to the list of highly anticipated Pokémon.

Niantic Labs has just launched its first ever event for Halloween, so a Legendary event can't be too far away, especially since the developer is seemingly preparing for the huge update ahead. In the meantime, the wait for the Legendaries continues.

Generation Two and legendaries aside, the site also discovered metadata that is linked to another most anticipated Pokémon from the first generation, transform Pokémon Ditto. The code is hidden behind Ditto's Japanese moniker, Metamon.

There are no other clues, however, on when Ditto will appear in the game, but fans speculated that the Transform Pokémon is most likely getting its own event in the future.

The hype for the next batch of Pokémon is still going strong, and more fans are excited to see what's in store for them in the upcoming Generation Two update for augmented reality mobile game.

Stay tuned for more news on "Pokémon GO" generation two as it develops.
