The latest update on the upcoming Tesla Model 3 suggested that the electric car will feature an optional solar roof along with a new steering vehicle specially designed to be compatible with the company's new car.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted on his official account that customers will be provided with an option to upgrade their vehicle with solar panels implanted in the roof. Auto Blog reported that the solar roof panels in the Model 3 are expected to be quite expensive as compared to other utilities provided by the company in the electric car.

Earlier, Musk commented that the upcoming Tesla Model 3 will feature a new type of glass in order to incorporate the latest technology designed for the car. He also stated that the highly-anticipated EV might sport a deployable solar shield like a retractable hard top.

Meanwhile, Electrek reported that the Tesla Model 3 will be launched with a new steering wheel, which is touted to be space-ship like as per the CEO of the company.
