Theo James, who is starring with Shailene Woodley in the famous Summit Entertainment science fiction series, will reportedly no longer grace the fourth installment of the movie or possible spinoff. After the movie would be made into a spinoff TV series, the actor is said to back out and focus on his upcoming wedding with his fiancée Ruth Kearney.

"The Divergent Series: Ascendant" made headlines after rumors suggested the fourth title won't make it on the big screen. It is known that the final part of the trilogy has been canceled for theatrical release and will now be made as a television spin-off series instead. 

Lionsgate's decision is said to have ruined the enthusiasm of the entire cast. In fact, the former director, Neil Burger, also regrets the idea of abandoning the film series.

According to Den of Geek, the former director mentioned that the movie has got into a bad shape and the decision of splitting the third book into two parts was not a good idea.

Not just the director, but even the stars are now coming up to resist the idea of a spinoff TV series. Theo James' on-screen partner, Shailene Woodley who stars as Beatrice "Tris" Prior has mentioned that they were signed up for a movie and not a tele series.

"I didn't sign up to be in a television show," the actress said during an interview. "Out of respect to the studio and everyone in involved, they may have changed their mind and may be doing something different, but I'm not necessarily interested in doing a television show."

"When we all signed on for the first one we had every intention of finishing it theatrically," Miles Teller, who played the role of Peter added.

Despite this, lead actor Theo James was busy for something more important for him. It is known that he was out and preparing for his wedding with fiancée Ruth Kearney.

As per one source, Kearney is reportedly excited about their upcoming wedding and is equally ecstatic that her fiancé will not be working with Woodley again. There have been previous reports about a Theo James Shailene Woodley romance, but it seems like everything is going well among them.

Still, Shailene Woodley's co-star Theo James has kept mum about "The Divergent Series" rumors and his wedding plans with fiancée Ruth Kearney.
