The 2016 model Sony Xperia XZ and the 2015 launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 are premium smartphones. Both handsets come with decent specifications and we thought to compare both of these smartphones.

When it comes to physical design, the Redmi Note 3 is taller, wider, and denser compared to the Xperia XZ. The Sony model is slightly sleeker in design compared to the Xiaomi smartphone, according to NDTV Gadgets.

From a processor perspective, the Xperia XZ makes use of 2.15 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 whereas the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is powered by 1.4GHz hexacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 650. The  Sony smartphone has better CPU speed than the Xiaomi smartphone. However, multitasking should be more smooth in the Redmi Note 3 thanks to the higher number of cores.

The Xiaomi smartphone has higher battery capacity than the Sony smartphone.

The RAM capacity of Sony smartphone is higher than that of the Xiaomi model as per Smartprix. The Sony Xperia XZ has four times the internal storage capacity found in the Xiaomi smartphone. When it comes to expandable storage option, higher capacity is possible with the Sony Xperia XZ.

Sony models are well known for their great cameras and the dominance continues for Xperia XZ model. With an incredible 23MP rear camera with flash and a 13 MP front camera, it comfortably beats the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 which comes with 16 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. The Video recording and camera technology are the biggest strengths of the Sony Xperia XZ model.

So which is the winner here? Well, it is up to the users to decide that. For shutterbugs, the Sony Xperia XZ seems to be a perfect choice. Users who  are concerned with more battery life has a better choice going with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 smartphone.
