Apple iMac 2016 May Release With Intel Kaby Lake Processor In Early 2017

Prakash

Everyone expected an announcement of Apple iMac at the October 26 event this year. However, according to the latest rumors and speculations, the newest version of the iMac has been set for released early next year instead.

Let's find out the reason for the delay.

The current version of the iMac was released two years ago. So, the release of the new installment of Mac was long overdue. It's interesting to note that Apple has not hinted at any launch date of iMac 2016 but it is speculated that it will come along with the company's celebration of the iPhone's 10th anniversary.

People have expected that the iMac will be launched alongside Macbook. But rumor hinted that there are few things which delayed its launch like the Intel's next generation of processor, the Kaby Lake

However, it is also possible that Apple will still be sticking to the current generation Intel Sky Lake chipset.

The iMac 2017 would be arriving at the all-in-one market in a position that is far different than before. While all-in-one machines have been around for some time, the iMac has always taken a very notable spot as one of the best productivity machines in the industry. This has caused the device to be embraced by many, despite its relatively high price. With the market more competitive than ever, and with a very formidable rival already being released, Apple's iMac 2017 would need to surmount a mountain of challenges.

One such rival could be the recent launch of Surface Studio by Microsoft.

It is possible that Apple will be among the participants for the upcoming Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2017, which will be held in Las Vegas next year. Rumor has it that the company will be using the said event to showcase their latest desktop computer.

Stay tuned for more updates.
