The latest NBA trade rumors suggested that the Philadelphia 76ers might enter a trade deal with the Los Angeles Lakers before the trade deadline. Reports claimed that the 76ers might give away their center Jahlil Okafor in exchange for the Lakers' point guard Jordan Clarkson.

Sports Rageous reported that the 76ers are planning to trade Jahlil Okafor before the February trade deadline in order to clear their overcrowded frontcourt and make space for other key players like forward Ben Simmons, center Joel Embiid, and Nerlens Noel.

The NBA trade rumors stated that bringing Clarkson onboard is expected to help the Philadelphia 76ers to solve their frontcourt issues and also enhance their offensive skills.

In order to seal the deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, reports suggested that the 76ers might also give away point guard Sergio Rodriguez along with Jahlil Okafor.

On the other hand, even the Los Angeles Lakers commented that they want to rebuild their team in order to have a more balanced roster. Reports touted that the Lakers are keen on bringing Okafor onto their team so as to enhance their offensive and defensive skills and thus, provide a tough competition to other teams in the NBA league.

It is also stated that the Lakers might team up Okafor with their core lineup comprising of small forward Brandon Ingram, point guard D'Angelo Russell, and power forward Julius Randle, which is expected to help them dominate other teams in the Western Conference.

However, none of the teams have given away any official word on the rumored trade scenario of Jahlil Okafor and Jordan Clarkson. So, as of now, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt.
