Naughty Dog's action adventure video game "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" leads the nominations for this year's The Game Awards, competing against other excellent games.

The final instalment in the "Uncharted" series gains tons of nods from the awards show, getting an astonishing eight nominations in six categories, including the top prize, Game of the Year.

"Uncharted 4" will be competing against Blizzard's online team shooter "Overwatch," as well as Respawn Entertainment's "Titanfall 2" for the Game of the Year recognition. The game will also be going head to head with indie breakthrough title "Inside" and Bethesda and id Software's remake of "Doom."

"Uncharted 4" also dominated the nominations list for Best Performance, with three of its voice actors, Emily Rose (Elena), Nolan North (Nathan Drake) and Troy Baker (Sam Drake), being considered for the award.

On the Best Action/Adventure front, "Uncharted 4" is pitted against Bethesda's "Dishonored 2," Square Enix's episodic action game "Hitman," Insomniac Games' "Rachet & Clank" and Heart Machine's "Hyper Light Drifter."

The game is also up for Best Narrative, competing against the compelling stories of Campo Santo's "Firewatch," Playdead's "Inside," Hangar 13's "Mafia 3," and Night School Studios' "Oxenfree."
