'Resident Evil 7' Demo Guide: How To Get The True And Alternative Endings

C. de Lacy

The upcoming "Resident Evil 7" demo came out similar to the supposedly "Silent Hills" by Konami with its demo "P.T." Fans are hard at work in discovering everything the demo has to offer as it has tons of secrets and lore to unlock. Here is a guide on how to get the true and alternative endings.

Getting the True Ending for the "Resident Evil 7" demo is quite tricky, but here's a quick guide in order to get just that. Just be sure to keep a checklist on these things in order to make sure that the True Ending will be triggered;

  1. Activate the hidden lever in the fireplace
  2. Get the fuse from the secret compartment and put it in the wall
  3. Head upstairs then access the attic and head through the door to get the basement key on the table
  4. Use the basement key on the gate
  5. Return to the basement
  6. Upon reaching the basement, a monster will be spawning and the player needs to be NOT HIT in any way. The two items also need to be intact with the player. Ignore Jack from preventing you to leave and get the attic window key from the shelf and head out to the door then upstairs.
  7. Finally return to the attic and attempt to use the key to escape

Once all these steps are done, the player will be able to unlock the true ending, which we won't be spoiling now.

Aside from the true ending, there are also two other endings, which are the Back Door ending and the Phone Call ending.

The Back Door ending can be obtained by finding the Bolt Cutters at the back door and finding the Derelict House Footage tape. Inserting this into the VHS player in the starting room will trigger an event and then the player simply needs to follow Pete to the room. This will lead to the secret fireplace passage where the Back Door Key will be used.

The Phone Call ending will be triggered by entering the secret passage as well and using the switch. A fuse will be found, which can be used on the fuse box on the VHS player room. Once done, head upstairs and call down the steps. Somebody will call the phone and the player simply needs to answer it.

For those who don't want to go over these things can simply watch the demo playthrough below;
