More details regarding the latest game on the "Monster Hunter" franchise have been revealed.

Previously announced during the "Monster Hunter Nintendo Direct" broadcast, "Monster Hunter XX" will continue Capcom's practice of refreshing the "Monster Hunter" games before a full sequel is revealed. This holds true with the "G" and "Ultimate" versions of the franchise's previous games.

The game is scheduled for release on March 18, 2017, and will add a new Airship-based village, several returning monsters, new Deviant versions of monsters, and a G-rank difficulty setting.

New monsters are nicknamed Ouma Diablos, Hellblade Glavenus, Silverpeak Gammoth, Heavenly Eye Mizutsune, and Blue Lighting Master Astalos.

One of the returning monsters is Congalalas, which first appeared in "Monster Hunter 2" and last appeared in "Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate".

"Monster Hunter XX" will also feature 2 new Hunter Styles - one that rewards players by battling the monsters aggressively, and an alchemy-focused Renkin Style, one that encourages the player to use Great Renkin Barrel bombs. The said style is an unconventional hunting style that primarily excels in supporting.

Players may also make Renkin Items like Renkin Food for added stamina, Renkin Style Whetstone to fill hunting style gauge for a certain amount of time, Renkin Style Ball specifically for bow guns, Renkin Sound Wave Bomb that fires a high-frequency wave to frighten small and large monsters, Renkin Healing Barrel, an item that removes nearby teammates' debuffs and restores their stamina, and so on.

It is uncertain if "Monster Hunter XX" will have a Western release, as of press time. Capcom assures, however, that players of "Generations X" will be able to import their save data, and those who played "Monster Hunter Stories" will get additional content.

"Monster Hunter XX" will be released on the Nintendo 3DS, with fans speculating an HD version to be released on Nintendo's upcoming console, Switch.

Stay tuned for new information regarding the upcoming "Monster Hunter" game.
