Looks like avid players of Fallout and Minecraft are in for a treat as these fan-favorite games are slated to come together, in form of a new mash-up pack for Mojang's hit sandbox video game.

Some believe that an official crossover between the two franchises should have happened before, especially bearing the huge popularity of both Fallout and Minecraft in mind. Nevertheless, Bethesda and Mojang are prepping to make up for the lapse soon --- with Minecraft looking to add a slew of locations and characters from the post-apocalyptic themed universe to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and Vita editions of the game.

The UI seems to have undergone a modest overhaul, given the green hue of Fallout's Pip-boy 3000's interface. Meanwhile, characters such as Tinker Tom, Nick Valentine, and Fallout Boy will be among the 44 new skins available. But that's not all; some of the heels have received appropriate makeovers for the new pack, according to a report on EuroGamer.

Mojang's artists and builders have been busy transforming Minecraft's illustrious overworld into a brightened wasteland fit for Fallout's huge fan base. While the friendly cows have grown second heads, the familiar gigantic spiders have cleared the way for other supersized arachnids as well, the Swedish game developer said in a recent blog postMoreover, players will be able to delve into locations such as the Capital building and the Tenpenny Tower --- with each location disarrayed by signature creatures from the series.

Furthermore, the add-ons soundtrack will feature music taken straight from the Fallout games. The said add-on will be up for grabs for $5.99 on Xbox One, Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. There's no word yet on whether or not this add-on will be rolled out for the game's PC version. The game developers have also remained mum about the add-on's release date; however, it should arrive in the near future.

Mojang notes that bottle caps will not be considered as an acceptable form of cash as well.
