Fans of "Wentworth" TV series got the shock of their TV-viewing lives when Danielle Cormack's character, Bea Smith, was killed off by Joan "The Freak" Ferguson. Bea Smith was considered to be one of the major characters in the series. Her untimely death sparked speculations of season 5 cancellation.
Danielle Cormack herself has already confirmed that Bea Smith's death was final. However, "Wentworth" season 5 spoilers and predictions believe otherwise.
According to reports, "Wentworth" season 5 will still push through - with or without Bea Smith. The popularity of the Australian original TV series has been unstoppable and in fact, it recently won the Best Television Drama Series award. Currently, the series has already gained an overseas population, which is an impressive feat for a mid-budget TV series.
The said award has been given by the award-winning body Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts. With this, the fans are expecting a lot from the series and the showrunnes are surely working extra hard to live up to the fans' expectations.
Reports have been also circulating that Liam Hemsworth might be joining "Wentworth" for its fifth season. It has been reported that Liam Hemsworth might be the replacement for Danielle Cormack's character, a brand new twist and angle to the series. However, the said reports have not been confirmed by either Liam Hemsworth or showrunners.
In a recent Instagram post of Danielle Cormack, a controversial photo of her showed a mini-reunion with fellow "Wentworth" co-stars. The post has sparked more speculations that Bea Smith might be returning in the series premiere, although it is still unsure if it will be for new stories or simply flashbacks.
As of writing, "Wentworth" season 5 air date remains to be announced. However, for the peace of mind of the fans, the official Facebook page of the prison drama series lists 2017 for season 5 premiere.
