Henry Cavill Teases Fans: Black Adam and Superman Wish Everyone A Merry Christmas

Bryan Ke

Henry Cavill, the Hollywood actor currently donning the cape of Superman, who is also set to appear in the big budget 2017 DC Entertainment Universe movie "Justice League," has just recently posted a rather interesting photo on his social media account.

The picture, which was posted on the actor's Instagram account, features Cavill relaxing in a tropical location along with Dwayne Johnson, who is set to play as Shazam's evil counterpart known as Black Adam.

"Merry Christmas a Happy New Year from Superman and Black Adam @therock . Today we drink like gentleman and come together as friends. We're excited for what the future brings," the social media post caption wrote.

Some fans, particularly the casual ones, might see this as nothing more but an innocent post; just the actors sending out their Holiday greetings to everyone. The die-hard ones, however, think that there might be something more behind the photo - specifically the caption.

Screenrant speculates that Superman and Black Adam may cross paths in the coming future. As to when and where, sadly, nobody knows.

Cavill is set to reprise his role as the Man of Steel in next year's "Justice League," which is going to be helmed by "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Synder, while Johnson isn't expected to appear until his debut in the 2019 movie "Shazam."

Although it may sound unlikely, there might be a chance for Black Adam to make an appearance before his full film debut - or better yet, a clash between Superman and Johnson's character. Reports seem to think that Black Adam might make a cameo appearance in "Man of Steel 2" or even in "Justice League 2."

It should be noted that this is just based on pure speculations, and it is in no way official. With that being said, it's best to keep an open mind for the time being and hope that more clues come up that may help prove this theory.

"Justice League" is set to hit cinemas on Nov. 17, 2017, while "Shazam!" isn't going to be out until April 2019.
