Just when Microsoft’s tablet rumor had reached a fever pitch, its close partner Nokia teased a big announcement. It gave a new twist to the rumor as both the company is announcing something big on the same day.
Nokia posted some images on its official US Facebook page with the date 06.18.12. The company just teased an announcement on Monday with these images. This news instantly made some people to believe that Nokia and Microsoft's plans are related and will be announced at the same event in Los Angeles. But one of the teaser images is marked with Hawaii's location. Hawaii's area code is 808 and so is the model number of Nokia's PureView camera phone packed with 41-megapixel sensor.
Sources revealed that this announcement is actually related to the company's Pure View camera phone and its U.S. availability. It is also planning to bring Symbian-based phone there. People can think about choosing these phones as their second phone as it won't be tied with any contract.
People who don't know about Nokia PureView 808 is missing something. It's a high-end phone featuring 41-megapixel camera. It will be also packed with Nokia's own mobile operating system and rich-recording audio feature rather than Windows mobile operating system.
For now, people have to rely on these rumors and wait and see what actually happens on Monday.
