Xbox Live Gold members should get ready as free games for 2017. The first batch consists of four exciting game titles and they will be given out on schedule throughout the month of January.

Fans of "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" would be pleased to know that the game is part of the giveaways for Xbox Live Games with Gold. It was Larry Hyrb, Microsoft's director of programming for Xbox Live, who announced the upcoming free games via his Major Nelson website.

"For the month of January, Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games - two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 - as part of the Games with Gold program," he said in the post. "You can play both Xbox 360 titles on your Xbox One with Backward Compatibility."

For Xbox Live Gold members who use Xbox 360 console, they can get "The Cave" game starting Jan. 1, and will be free until Jan. 15. Then, the "Rayman Origins" will be released for free from Jan. 16 to Jan. 31.

As for Xbox One users with Gold membership, they can download the "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" from Jan. 1 to Jan, 31. On the other hand, "Killer Instinct" Season 2 will be available from Jan. 16 to Feb. 15.

Many game enthusiasts commented that "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" is a good game. They also recommend this to those who like to play gothic-noir themed games.

Lastly, while some opined that the game lacks some contents, it is still something that is worth buying. As described on Microsoft Store, the "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" players will need to keep monsters away from the chain of strongholds or they will attack and kill. The player will be the only hero who can stop the ogres before they can enter the world of Borgovia.
