Director Ridley Scott is one name that all movie goers will always hear, being the mastermind behind the horrifying "Alien" franchise. Despite his untarnished and certainly undisputable accolades, Scott admits that there are still some depths that he would not sink to.

Many fans of Scott will know how the director created the immortal horror flick in the form of "Alien," and with the next addition "Alien: Covenant" soon to come forth, fans will know again of his prowess. The question now is: what's next?

The answer is as plain as fans could predict; that is, coming up with more movies of the same genre or idea. According to Digital Spy, Scott admitted that he has a limitation on what he wishes to make. Even with a growing fad for superhero movies, Scott does not at all show signs of riding the bandwagon. The director revealed that superhero movies are really not his thing; since he personally has a hard time believing in the somewhat unrealistic troubleshooting of a superhero flick.

"I've done that kind of movie -- "Blade Runner" really is a comic strip when you think about it. It's a dark story told in an unreal world. You could almost put Batman or Superman in that world, that atmosphere, except I'd have a f**king good story, as opposed to no story," he was quoted as saying. Even as superhero films are turning out to be massive hits, Scott says that he wishes to keep doing "smart" films in the future. It goes for all of them that chose to make the smart films, he adds.

Scott revealed that he is quite concerned on what is to become of cinema and that it is starting to be "pretty bad," wherein he feels that future outputs could be affected. Nonetheless, the director is far from done as he has another blockbuster waiting to surface.

"Alien: Covenant" is the newest entry to the "Alien" legacy. Scott has been known for the franchise since the late 70's. This is the sequel to "Prometheus" and a prequel to the entire franchise.
