With Jeremy Lin still unable to play because of his second hamstring injury, the Brooklyn Nets could just have found their answer on Isaiah Whitehead. The rookie basketball player showed NBA fans that he has a lot of potential.

Whitehead's potential

Playing for 25 minutes during the match versus the Washington Wizards on Friday, Whitehead displayed skills and talent as he went against one of the best point guards in the NBA, John Wall. Whitehead was able to force a turnover as hent up against Wall.

Brooklyn Nets coach Kenny Atkinson has expressed his appreciation on Whitehead's contribution to the team. "He's a physically imposing guy. The special feeling for his demeanor excites you. When we are talking about development, and down the road, this kid has a chance," the coach added.

Lin re-injures hamstring

After missing 17 games this season then managing to come back, Jeremy Lin is again out of the games due to an injured hamstring. This was the same health issue which left the Brooklyn Nets without their star player.

Jeremy Lin seen limping as he left the court a day after Christmas during the game where the Nets beat the Charlotte Hornets with a 120-118 win. Before he exited the game due to the injury which also caused him to miss 17 games last year, Lin contributed 17 points to the Brooklyn Nets.

When will he come back?

Up until now, there is still no clear timetable on Jeremy Lin's return. The team earlier noted that they will not give a timeline for his recovery since they are also not sure bout it.

"Every player's different. Some guys recover quicker than others," said Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks. He also explained that they do not want to pressure the Linsanity star to comeback since he need enough rest to recover from his re-injured hamstring.
