Earin M-2 Earbuds Challenge Apple AirPods With A Less Conspicuous, Sexier Design
Van DThe Apple AirPods are making waves since it released in December 2016, but some brands are also showcasing their own wireless earphones, such as the Earin M2 earbuds. The Earin M2 earbuds boast features similar to the Apple AirPods, but with a sexier design.
Engadget wrote that the Earin M2 earbuds were presented at CES 2017. Also dubbed as a true wireless product, the earbuds offer controls similar to the Apple AirPods, so users can tap the earbud to answer calls, pause music and play again. Compared to the Apple accessory, the Earin M2 earbuds offer a simpler and ergonomic design. The Earin M2 earbuds has a running time of three hours on a single charge. It also has a magnetic charging capsule that provides 12 hours of total listening time.
Digital Trends stated that according to the company, the Earin M2 has a unique earbud design that isolates external sound without the need for traditional active noise cancellation. The design of the accessory helps catch the sound in the user's inner ear, thereby resulting to a more natural sound compared to regular earbuds. The Earin M2 provides basic touch controls to play and pause, as well as control volume. There are also dual microphones in each earpiece that comes with a new algorithm. This lets the device take out external noise so users can make phone calls even in loud environments.
The Earin M2 follows the M1, with improved technology and a better design. The portable charging capsule keeps the earbuds topped off when not in use. The charging capsule's design has also been upgraded with more aluminum. The magnetic capsule ensures that the earbuds do not stray away from each other.
Earin has not yet announced the official retail price of the M2 earbuds, although it may be close to its predecessor, which previously sold for $249. It is pricier than the $159 Apple AirPods, but users can enjoy a simpler design and the enhanced noise cancellation technology. The Earin M2 earbuds are expected to launch in the first quarter of 2017. More updates and details are expected soon.
