Master Tonberry is one of the most recognizable characters in Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV game. The popular character can be found in two different locations in the Final Fantasy XV game and can be easily defeated using FFXV players' tried and tested method.

In Final Fantasy XV, Master Tonberry can be found in two locations. The first way to locate Master Tonberry is by joining a hunt for him in the side quest The Tragic Facts. The next location is in the main story of FFXV Chapter 15. In this Chapter, Noctis and his party will be exploring the Steyfill Grove secret dungeon where Master Tonberry will be waiting.

Players can activate the Final Fantasy XV Tragic Facts side quest, a player should proceed to the diner in Altissia which is being run by Cid's friend. Player must interact with the diner's manager to join the level 41 Tragic Facts hunt. Master Tonberry can be located in an alley at Ministerial Quarter Station. Master Tonberry only appears at night.

To defeat Master Tonberry in the Tragic Facts side quest, it is advisable for players to pummel the pesky character with melee attacks and not to give Master Tonberry any chance to retaliate. The use of magic is not advisable since it will give Master Tonberry a chance to use a heavy damage counterattack.

Unlike in the Tragic Facts side quest, defeating Master Tonberry in the Steyfill Grove secret dungeon requires the use of magic spells and range attacks. It is actually advisable to avoid Master Tonberry as much as possible in this chapter. The level 88 Master Tonberry in this FFXV chapter has 512,500 hit points and will have powerful spells such as Stop, Fire and Instant Death. Players are advised to be equipped with high-level potions and phoenix downs.

Defeating Master Tonberry in the Final Fantasy XV Tragic Facts side quest will give out three rank stars for Noctis, 8,360 gold, one Mega Phoenix and the team will be getting 1,617 exp and a Green Choker. In the Steyfill Grove secret dungeon, defeating Master Tonberry will give a party 9,233 exp and will be rewarded with a rare Mythril Ingot.
