'Stranger Things' News: Netflix Releases 8-Bit Browser Game, Outrun The Demogorgon!

Popular Netflix Original series "Stranger Things" is currently working on Season 2, especially after the great reviews it got for the debut season. Fans don't have to wait for the release of the new season to get their share of Demogorgons: a new "Stranger Things" browser game has been released by Netflix. It contains several Netflix characters.

The game is called "Netflix Infinite Runner." It can be played on this link. The game play can be easily judged from the name of the game. It is a simple game with old school graphics in the style of 1980s games and graphics. The players can run and jump and collect different power-ups. What is so spectacular about this interesting game? It has four playing game modes and it stars different protagonists and characters from Netflix's own original shows.

The 8-Bit theme from all these independent shows keeps on playing in the background. There is Piper from "Orange is the New Black" and Marco Polo from "Marco Polo".There is also our favourite drug cartel lord Pablo Escobar from "Narcos". However, the best mode is definitely the "Stranger Things" game mode. In this mode, the players can play as Mike Wheeler. They can also upgrade to the character of Eleven if the player gets enough power-ups while playing the game. The game in itself has a very simple storyline which is like the story of the popular show itself. One has to simply run away from Demogorgon, soldiers and G-men. The control is located in the space bar and helps jump and double jump in the game.

While the fans are desperately waiting for some closure of the plot in the upcoming season, this simple yet fast paced browser game can hopefully satiate their curiosity. Till date, only teasers for the second season have been released- we are still awaiting a full blown trailer. The "Stranger Things" season 2 is expected to hit the screens in mid-summer 2017.
