‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Season 3 Spoilers: Ophelia Returns, Show Arrives A Week Delayed
Fans will have to wait a bit longer for the return of the second half of "How To Get Away With Murder" Season 3. The series' return, along with "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal" Season 6 premiere, has been moved a week later due to a special pre-inauguration coverage.
Originally, the "HTGAWM" Season 6 midseason premiere, as well as the return of "Grey's Anatomy" "and "Scandal" Season 6, was slated this coming January 19. However, ABC recently announced that the return of the three shows has been moved to a later date, January 26, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Instead, ABC will be airing a one hour pre-inauguration special titled "America's First Family: The Trumps Go to Washington" on January 19 at 10 p.m. Reruns of "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal" will air in the two time slots prior to the special.
Fans may expect the plot of the upcoming "How to Get Away With Murder" Season 3 episode 10 to pick up from where the midseason finale left off. The synopsis of the upcoming episode reveals that Annalise and the Keating Four will find themselves in difficult times as a result of Wes' murder.
Annalise Keating will reach her breaking point while inside prison, according to the synopsis as reported by Broadway World. However, the remaining Keating Four are not off the hook yet as it will later be revealed that the investigation conducted by the D.A. is much wider in scope than they had anticipated.
Meanwhile, veteran actress Cicely Tyson will be returning to the second half of "HTGAWM" Season 3 as well, reprising her role as Ophelia Harkness, Annalise's mother. According to EP Pete Nowalk, Ophelia's return will be prompted when she finds out that Annalise was arrested.
Tyson also appeared in the previous two season of "HTGAWN." Nowalk explained that the always include her in at least one episode in each season, adding that "The season wouldn't be complete without her."
