'American Horror Story' Is Renewed For Two More Seasons, Most Likely Up Until 2019

Horror fans rejoice! More horror and thrill are coming in the next coming years as "American Horror Story" has been renewed for two more seasons and is most likely extended up to 2019. Get ready to see more of our favorite actors and actress in the series, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe and even, perhaps, the return of Jessica Lange.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, FX announced during the Television Critics Association's winter press tour that it has added more seasons for "American Horror Story." The show was developed and created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. The seventh season of the 20th Century Fox series will return this year.

"'American Horror Story' launched the modern limited series revolution and, as evidenced by the most recent installment, Roanoke, it remains as vital today as when Murder House stunned audiences six years ago," FX CEO John Landgraf said. The debut of AHS began at the Murder House back in 2011, where the story focused on the Harmon family who moved into a mansion unaware that it is haunted by ghosts from the former residents, together with their victims.

"Each new chapter is a cultural event, beloved for every new twist in imagery, style, cast and plot. We are thrilled that Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and the entire creative team will continue to deliver the groundbreaking, celebrated American Horror Story for years to come," he continued.

AHS is also one of the most watched series in FX and has bagged over 15 Emmy wins. It has also been in the top five scripted series for the 18-49 demograph for the core adults for each of its seasons. The latest season, Roanoke, was said to log a 5 percent higher viewership against its previous season, Hotel.
