'Justice League' May Have Confirmed the Black Suit Superman; Franchise Could Follow Comic Story

"Justice League" has recently surrounded itself with quite a handful of speculations, but none has been confirmed so far. One of the more prominent rising points of the film is that of Henry Cavill's Superman return, but with a differently shaded character.

As seen through a recent Twitter post, the resurrection of Superman may show the superhero's popular black suit on Cavill, as the actor has teased before. According to Comic Book, the all-powerful Kryptonian has not been seen since he met his demise in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," completely missing all the events that transpired during the "Suicide Squad" timeline.

The Twitter photo is rather blurry, with many doubting if the photo is, indeed, legitimate. The costume shown dons a darker cape which ignited the hype, although the color of the suit claims that it is simply the touch of Zack Snyder coming into play. The logo embedded in the chest is also comparably darker if to be placed alongside the original, which was seen on both "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

The costume is expected to be the next logical move for the franchise, as mentioned in the "Death of Supermn." This is the graphic novel most popular because of the hero's death after an iconic battle with Doomsday. Kal-el died alongside the monstrous being, but was eventually resurrected as the Superman with long hair and a dark costume. The idea implied can also be the climax in the upcoming "Justice League" and might also be the hook to defeating Steppenwolf, the film's villain.

The movie is slated for release on November 16 this year. It will be the first big-screen appearance of Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Jason Momoa as Aquaman. Gal Gadot will return as Wonder Woman, as well as Ben Affleck's Batman.
