‘Resident Evil 7’ Update 1.01 Goes Live; Includes Fixes, DLC Support, New Trophies & More; What To Do With The Dirty Coin
Arianne Gift"Resident Evil 7" is featuring a day-one patch, with numerous players reporting that it is just over 800MB on PlayStation 4. Update 1.01 includes bug fixes, new Trophies for the first post-launch DLC pack, Banned Footage Vol. 1 and more.
As per PlayStation Lifestyle, via PS4's Update History, the patch notes for "Resident Evil 7" update 1.01 include support for add-ons, new trophies and for notifications of new additional chapters. Of course, the highly anticipated game is presumably free of bugs and issues.
Exophase also revealed "Resident Evil 7" new Trophies. Most simply ask gamers to complete the various pieces of content included with Banned Footage Vo. 1. Among the Trophies added with update 1.01 are Ethan Never Dies (Gold), Ratcatcher (Silver), Sleepless in Dulvey (Silver), Dead by Dawn? (Bronze) and Like Mama Used to Make (Bronze). Should players choose to get "Resident Evil 7" digitally. The PlayStation Store says it's a 20.6GB download.
In other news, those who have played the bizarre puzzle on the "Resident Evil 7" initial demo last year and have been rewarded by the Dirty Coin can now relax. Here's what to do with that item that you can carry along in the game.
According to the Polygon, the Dirty Coin serves as an extra Antique Coin. How so? Throughout the course of "Resident Evil 7," you can pick several collectibles called Ancient Coins. You will also encounter locked bird cages containing some health upgrades, some boosts and the like. These can be opened by placing a specific amount of Ancient Coins in them. If you're lucky, you might get the Magnum. So, if you run out of Antique Coins, that Dirty Coin might just save the day.
"Resident Evil 7" is out January 24. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with the PS4 having support for the PSVR.
