The OnePlus 3 was a total hit in 2016, given its Snapdragon chipset and 6GB RAM. Its successor, the OnePlus 5, is already making waves as 2017's next biggest hit. This OnePlus flagship model is ready to live up to the legacy OnePlus seems to be building and patrons may be seeing it as early as April this year.

OnePlus' phones represent the ideal smartphone for a good chunk of the population: high-end, top-shelf specs worthy of big-name brands but packaged and retailed and at a budget friendly price.

Specs, Features and Other Details. Drawing on iTech Post's article, not a lot of details for the OnePlus 5 have been revealed. However, the promise of yet another Snapdragon chipset and an even bigger RAM has got fans excited. The OnePlus 5 is supposedly powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and has earned an extra 2GB of RAM for a total 8GB.

Other features include the Dash Charge feature, which is definitely a huge improvement and up to 126GB internal memory. Samsung Galaxy's 8 Edge mentions a curved aluminum body and a 5.5in display.

As far as the camera is concerned, the OnePlus 5 is predicted to have a 22 MP rear camera and 8 MP front-facing cam with autofocus laser. Battery details give the OnePlus 5 a 4200 mAH battery capacity.

Release Date. The Bitbag places the OnePlus 5 release date for the later half of 2017, saying the release has something to do with the Snapdragon's 835 availability. However, other recent reports suggest an April 2017 release, following the unveiling of most flagships happening this March at the Mobile World Convention (MWC) 2017.

As of writing this article, there has been no official confirmation regarding OnePlus 5 specs, features and release date. The price also remains unconfirmed, although, most reports point at a possible $480 retail price.
