The "Pokemon Sun and Moon" animation
A recent "Pokemon Sun and Moon" anime episode featured "Mimikyu," the scariest Pokemon that also holds a grudge against Pikachu, reported Polygon. In the scene, Mimikyu's true form was revealed to Meowth, who is team Rocket's Pokémon companion, which almost cost him his life in the process.
It is when Meowth spies the Pokemon costume floating in the ocean that the former spots a dark figure emerging from the ocean. The moment the dark figure's eyes flashes, Meowth literally dies from fear for a brief moment. Thankfully, Meowth regains his senses soon again. Notably, this will be for the first time ever that a Pokemon will actually die in the anime. The tweet below adds the short clip from the episode.
