One of the most anticipated video games of 2012 is none other than Resident Evil 6, the newest addition in the long running Resident Evil franchise. Capcom has released gameplay footages of all three campaigns, but despite doing so, the company is planning to release an additional 20 minutes of footage at this year's GamesCon.

We're not sure what this 20 minute gameplay footage will consist of, but one thing is for certain - it is brand spanking new and is expected to get fans of the franchise extremely excited. Gameplay videos we have seen have so far been very action oriented; we'd like to see something that has the potential to bring some scare factor to the table. Yes, that would be something.
Leon Kennedy's campaign is expected to be what many fans prefer, traditional Resident Evil gameplay with som scary moments here and there. If Capcom can show something in that light, Resident Evil 6 would become an instant buy on Day One.
Having said that, the route Capcom would rather take with this 20 minute gameplay video is to showcase all three campaigns. If you were living under a bucket all these months, Resident Evil 6 will have three different campaigns, all lead by different characters. Campaign one is all about Leon Kennedy, campaign two lead man is Chris Redfield, while the final campaign sees Jake Wesker, son of Albert Wesker, taking the leading role.
All campaigns can be played through with a friend via co-op, a first in a Resident Evil game. We can see many gamers going online to play through the campaign via co-op or local multiplayer than doing it themselves. Hey, it would be a lot more fun to go this route than sit in front of your TV/Monitor all by yourself busting caps in Zombie skulls.
Resident Evil 6 is expected to be released on the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 on October 2, 2012.
