Fans of "Outlander" Season 3 have long been waiting for updates about the show's air date and other details. But while, there are no official announcements yet, many spoilers and bits of information about its filming have been making the rounds online. The latest news is that the cast and crew are back in Scotland to continue the shoot for scenes that have not been filmed yet.

Shoot on Location

Outlander TV News reported that the cast and crew of "Outlander" Season 3 have returned to Edinburgh and they started to film on Feb. 2. Various groups uploaded photos of the filming on social media, specifically on Twitter.

One of the most recent tweets was made by Edinburgh Tour Guides earlier today. Together with a photo of the filming set with the actors, the company tweeted, "#Outlander #Filming in #Edinburgh today."

People were also tweeting about seeing the cast going in and out of some venues like the Signet Library. In particular Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe and few extra role players were seen around the library.

Cast

Although the producers of "Outlander" Season 3 have not yet released the full cast members, people were able to know who they are after seeing them while filming. Aside from Heughan and Balfe, photos and videos also revealed additional cast that include Gary Young and David Berry.

There were also snaps of Cesar Domboy and Lauren Lyle while they were filming so they were photographed in their costumes. Moreover, it was reported that "Outlander" Season 3 will run for 13 episodes and half have already been filmed.

Other Filming Locations

Filming in Scotland is almost done and they cast and crew are preparing to head to the next location which will be South Africa. The scene that will be shot here is the sea voyage where they will be on a ship.

Reportedly, Starz already built the ships to be used. On the other hand, other cast will head to Jamaica to continue filming other scenes.

Plot Details

"Outlander" Season 3 will focus on how Jamie will move on with his life following the Battle of Culloden. How Claire's life will fare with her husband Frank will also be put on spotlight. It was revealed that the couple will welcome a baby as they try to reconnect after their reunion.
