Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus News and Update: New Renders Reveal Design, Specs, Features; MWC 2017 Launching Expected
The upcoming Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus handsets have been favorite subjects of numerous rumors and speculations all over the Internet for quite some time now. New reports have emerged suggesting that Lenovo, which acquired Motorola, has decided to launch the highly anticipated flagship smartphones at the Mobile World Congress or MWC 2017 in February. Although the company has yet to make an official announcement, a new image renders for the upcoming Moto G5 Plus have surfaced online.
The leaked renders reveal the impressive design and key details of the Moto G5 Plus. Apparently, the new smartphone from Lenovo-owned Motorola will carry a dedicated housing for its primary camera. In a report by GizmoChina, the handset will sport a 12-megapixel rear shooter housed in a round-shaped case. The publication added that the smartphone's improved camera technology will come with Rapid Focus feature and a /1.7 aperture. It will also have Sony's IMX 362 sensor, which makes the device a much better camera phone than the rest of the competition.
Furthermore, the primary snapper of the Moto G5 Plus will be equipped with phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, and laser autofocus. The device is also capable of 4K video recording.
In another report by The Mobile Indian, the Moto G5 Plus smartphone will also carry impressive specs under the hood. According to the publication, a tipster, who is apparently a member of Moto G4 Brazilian community, posted an image of the upcoming Moto G5 Plus. The image is said to have come with a marketing cover, which shows that the device will sport a 5.2-inch Full HD display. The device is also expected to come with a Snapdragon 625 chipset from Qualcomm paired with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM.
As of the moment, fans are still waiting for Lenovo to make the official announcement of Moto G5 Plus and Moto G5. If rumors prove to be true, the two handsets will come out on Feb. 26, which means that both might hit the shelves next month.
