The Google Pixel has become one of the most popular smartphones in the market today as it is able to hold its own against the toughest competition. With the success of the brand, the American tech giant has decided to seize the opportunity to create a new iteration of the popular smartphone line. According to reports, the upcoming flagship will be dubbed as Google Pixel 2.

Although the company has yet to provide the specific details with regard to its development and release date, several tech experts are already speculating that it will carry impressive specs and features. Google is expected to launch the new Google Pixel 2 anytime soon as it will be the company's answer to Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S8 and Apple's highly anticipated iPhone 8. The more popular flagships are speculated to arrive this year.

Among the expected features of the new Google Pixel 2 is its waterproofing technology. Sources are claiming that the next Google flagship smartphone will finally incorporate the amazing feature along with an impressive camera technology.

According to Autonomy, speculations are rife that Google Pixel 2 might come out with a VR headset. The publication suggests that the company will primarily focus on hardware improvements as it is already given that the device will run on the latest version of Android Nougat.

In a report by Stuff, the Google Pixel 2 will definitely come out with the new Android 8.0. The rumored mobile operating system will be paired with a Snapdragon 830 processor from Qualcomm. However, several reports have emerged suggesting that Google is currently testing a new chipset from Intel, which could debut on the upcoming Google Pixel 2.

Meanwhile, there are rumors saying that the new flagship device will be released with a more expensive price tag compared to its predecessor. However, with the impressive specs and features of the upcoming Google Pixel 2, consumers are expected not to mind the $50 increase from the original device.
