Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus: Smartphone to Use Qualcomm’s Latest Processor [Leaks]; Official Release Date Finally be Announced?
The information about the announcement date of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus comes from the Korea Economic Daily, a well-known publication in Samsung's homeland. The publication says that the company will share Galaxy S8's release date on February 27, 2017, which is the day the MWC 2017 press conference in Barcelona happened.
It should not be mistaken that Samsung has never planned to introduce the Samsung Galaxy S8 device during the MWC 2017, but will, instead, launch their new Galaxy S tablet, the Galaxy Tab S3. With that being said, the Korea electronic manufacturer is still going to share some teasers for the Galaxy S8's official launch date at the MWC 2017, Barcelona.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have an identical design with the latter is larger than the former. Rumor has it that Samsung Galaxy S8 will measure a 5.7-inch or a 5.8-inch display panel, while the S8 Plus variant is expected with a 6.2-inch or a 6.4-inch screen display.
Androidheadlines gives out a report that both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, running on 7.0 Nougat android systems alongside with Samsung's custom UI on top of it. A leak suggests that Samsung plans to ditch the home button, designing the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus with extremely thin bezels.
According to pocketlint, another leak says that Samsung Galaxy S8 will carry a 30-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, coupled with a 9-megapixel front facing snapper. It is predicted that Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Smartphone will cost around $1050 in the U.S. and €899 in the Europe. It is speculated based on the retailer's database that the Galaxy S8 Plus will be available in black, gold, and orchid gray.
Samsung, so far, has not announced anything regarding the specs and features of its latest android flagship, Samsung Galaxy S8, and S8 Plus. More information can be got in the next couple of months after the MWC event over.
