With the coming of the character transfer system to "GTA 5 Online," more and more players are encouraged to upgrade their consoles. Rockstar has also the same aim of telling players to upgrade by giving them discounts.

Console upgrade

GTA5Cheats said that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players are now given the incentive to buy the game's Enhanced Edition for a 30 percent slash on the original price. A separate promotion of the game on Warehouse giving some players some free gas and giving them additional content.

It was, however, indicated that this Warehouse offering only made available the Great White Shark Card Bundle and not the base game itself. It is also only live for now on the PC version of the game. Gamers are advised to monitor the Rockstar Warehouse sale for any changes on the promotions they offer to "GTA 5 Online" players.

Liberty City map mod

On the other hand, players can still enjoy updates on the game as mode developer Open IV recently released a big update on the Liberty City map of the game, Express said. The team of software engineer Yuriy Krivouchko explained that his team are working on mods in a way that they can also avoid legal issues with Rockstar.

"We're not modders ourselves," Krivouchko noted. "We make tools for the modding community so they can do whatever they want. We enjoy creating the tools and undergoing the research process to allow that to happen."

He added that the mod they are working on today is hoped to be the model or base for other mods in the future. This Liberty City map mod is expected to be released in spring this year.
