Marvel Fans who can't wait until 2018 for "Avengers: Infinity War" can sate their hunger for all things Marvel with these alleged rumors about potential cast members. Read on to find out who's not returning in the upcoming Marvel movie, and which new faces we can look forward to seeing on the big screen next year.

A new superhero will allegedly be introduced in "Avengers: Infinity War."

According to Cheat Sheet, Joe and Anthony Russo have recently teased that viewers might get to see a new character in the third "Avengers" film. Anthony reportedly told Yahoo movies that he and Joe have their "hands full trying to tell the story we have with our pre-existing characters." He also added, "that's not to say we're not going to introduce a new character."

The Guardians of the Galaxy will be part of the upcoming Avengers film.

Some reports say that "Avengers: Infinity War" will feature at least 67 different characters, and Vin Diesel has more or less confirmed that adorable Baby Groot and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy will join the fray in "Infinity Wars." At a Facebook Live session, the actor told fans, "...the Guardians will be included in Infinity War and that's incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting and something that if you were a part of our page you knew before everybody."

However, despite what Diesel said, Marvel and the Russo brothers have kept mum about this fact. They have "declined to confirm or deny the character's inclusion." But according to an unknown source from Schmoes Know, "Chris Pratt's Star-Lord will have a "sizable role" in Avengers: Infinity War." It was also revealed during an interview with MTV News that Zoe Saldana's Gamora "will appear in 'Avengers: Infinity War.'"

'Avengers: Infinity War' marks a new beginning for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

While "Infinity Wars" ends more than 10 years of related storylines in the MCU, it will also "be starting a new chapter." Anthony shared with IGN that, "I can't get into too much detail about who we're introducing, but these two movies are intended to be the culmination of everything that has happened in the MCU since the very first Iron Man movie. In being a culmination, these movies are in some ways going to be an end to certain things, and in some ways, they're going to be the beginning of certain things."

Bucky Barnes will allegedly return.

/Film first noticed that Sebastian Stan, who portrays Bucky, was allegedly going to shoot "Avenger: Infinity" war according to a The Hollywood Reported article. The actor has "yet to comment" on this rumor.

"Community" fans might get another cameo.

The Russo brothers produced "Community," and they have kindly included some cameos from the cast of the TV show in several MCU entries. Joe teased that fans could also see another cameo in "Infinity War."

'Avengers: Infinity War' will shoot in Scotland.

The Telegraph revealed that the upcoming movie will film at "several locations in Scotland" such as "Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Highlands." Filming is slated to begin on Feb. 28.

Spider-Man will also be back.

Tom Holland, who portrays young Peter Parker, told L'Uomo Vouge (an Italian magazine) that Spidey will return to aid the Avengers in "Infinity War." Below is "a rough translation" from ComicBook:

"The approval for the role in Spider-Man arrives personally also by Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans 'They who convinced the Marvel: the producers wanted to be sure that I was the right person before entrusting three films over the next four years, including Avengers: Infinity War."

"Avengers: Infinity War" is slated for a May 8, 2018 release date, but sadly, some characters won't be joining the party, per Nerdist. Evangeline Lilly's Hope Pym won't be seen in the upcoming movie since the character will be starring in "Ant-Man and the Wasp."

Marvel heroes and anti-heroes from the Netflix shows "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones," etc, will also probably not show up in "Infinity War." Black Panther hasn't been confirmed yet, but he could show up in a cameo.
