Natalie Zea, who portrays Robin Parker, spilled the beans on what fans can expect in the second season of "The Detour." The actress teased some juicy details about upcoming episodes of the TBS comedy.

According to TV Line, Natalie Zea can't wait to post some photos she's currently saving. She shared, "I'm hanging on to these incredible photographs that I haven't been able to post on social media." Zea added, "I had so much fun. I got to do what every theater kid has ever dreamed of doing: I got to play dress-up this season."

In "The Detour" Season 2, the Parker family, which is made up of Nate (played by Jason Jones), his wife Robin (Zea), and their kids Delilah (Ashley Gerasimovich) and Jared (Liam Carroll), are in New York City after they spent Season 1 "on an extended road trip." However, according to Zea, even though the family won't be traversing interstate highways and "Nate's misguided bid to be a corporate whistleblower" has come to an end, the show has not "lost its momentum.

Even though "The Detour" Season 2 is set in New York, "a city full of the weird and wonderful," the Parkers still stand out. Zea shares, "We fit nowhere. We don't belong anywhere. That's something we explore this season, it's sort of an "us-against-the-world" thing... "Fish out of water" seems a little cliché and its been done, but there's an element of that and there's also -thrown into that - is this idea of Robin - Robin's past - being tied in with the city and how she's got a lot of ghosts and we get to learn what those ghosts are and it plays out over the course of the whole season."

When asked about the kids' storylines, Zea praised Gerasimovich and Carroll's mothers. The actress also shared that Delilah and Jared will be facing the challenges of puberty in the show's upcoming episodes.

In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jones and Zea also talked how the Parkers are adapting to New York. The actor shared how the new episodes will try to top the events in "The Detour" Season 1.

He said, "We felt a little restricted last year in terms of the arc of the season, which was an A to B storyline for the most part. There was slight divergence, but this year we were a little more open. We have three storylines going this year, which is a piece of metal that will come to reveal itself much later, Robin's relationship with her past, and then this other investigation that's happening that converges as well. The interrogation scenes soon find their way into the narrative of the show."
