The Cupertino-based smartphone giant seems to be on track to attract iFans with its next offering, which is due on Sept. 12. Rumors surrounding the purported specs and design of the iPhone 5 have been doing the rounds for some time now. The recent case leaks for the device further fuel speculations and are indicative of the iPhone 5's size.
The leaked pictures compare the existing iPhone 4S cover with the upcoming iPhone 5's case. The T3 report describes iPhone 5 cases as "genuine leather pouches for Apple's next handset and show an increase in size from the iPhone 4."
If the case size is to be believed then the iPhone 5 will be larger when compared to the previous iterations. iFans would be hoping that the iPhone 5 features a bigger screen in a bid to meet the growing demand for larger displays, as well as to outpace competition from rival smartphones that sport a bigger display.
With Apple's event at the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts in San Francisco a few days away, the decor at the venue too hints at next iPhone 5 sporting a taller screen.
The wait for iFans is nearly over and come Sept. 12, Wednesday, Apple will likely take the wraps off its next-gen iPhone. iFans will eagerly wait for the specs to be revealed and will be keen to catch an official glimpse of the much-rumored smartphone. Time will tell if Apple has deployed its best in the iPhone 5.
