No matter how much "Grand Theft Auto" fans hope to receive new information on the franchise's next title, "Grand Theft Auto 6," Rockstar Games is in no position to do so, as it's not working in it for now. Even though "GTA 6" will come out eventually, currently, the only thing that is important to the developer is "Red Dead Redemption 2." The "GTA" game hasn't been announced officially and neither has the developer spoken about it in any meaningful manner. However, rumor mills are in full swing and fans are relying on them to satiate their thirst for a new title.

According to Tech.Mic, the primary reason for no "Grand Theft Auto 6" announcements is because Rockstar North, the studio that generally takes care of the "GTA" franchise, is helping out Rockstar San Diego in developing the "Red Dead Redemption 2." Online tipster Yan2295, known for "GTA" leaks, has also stated the same in a recent blog post. It says that updates for "GTA Online" will slowly fizzle out until "Red Dead Redemption 2" is released later this year. As there is no way to confirm these rumors, fans should not take the information seriously.

Moreover, "GTA 5" came out in 2013. So there's still time for the next title to be released. Gaming experts believe that there is a strong possibility the game will come out in 2020/2021, due to various reasons. There are many theories circulating the Internet as to when the "Grand Theft Auto 6" will be released. One theory, that has become really popular, is the 2021 release date.  This is because of a "GTA 5" Easter Egg that has led to tremendous fan excitement.

YouTuber Itz Frolickz has pointed out that a peculiar door numbering, featured in one of "GTA 5's" airports, have dropped the clue. When players visit this particular airport and look closely, they will find two doors with the numbers 2013 and 2021. This is very peculiar considering the fact that door numbers always follow a definite pattern and there are no numbers on other doors.
