Hideo Kojima, a legendary video game maker, has its much-awaited video game "Death Stranding" slated to be released by next year. The recently released RPG "Horizon Zero Dawn" has a hidden Easter egg that hints to the upcoming video game. With this, it has resulted to a lot of gamers geeking out.
Segment Next details about a screenshot that is being taken from the Italian version of "Horizon Zero Dawn." The screenshot displays a shout out to the forthcoming "Death Stranding." A necklace, which seems to be an abandoned amulet, is apparently decorated with six blocks of ionized metal that show the company's logo as its menu icon.
The necklace highly resembles Norman Reedus' necklace he wore in the game's trailer. As a matter of fact, the necklace having six blocks of metal was also seen during E3 2016. Madds Mikkelsen, well-known for his role as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the TV adaptation of "Hannibal" alongside Reedus, well-known for his role as Daryl Dixon on the AMC's "The Walking Dead," will star in "Death Stranding," on PS4.
On the other hand, another Easter egg from "Horizon Zero Dawn" is being detailed by Video Games Republic. In Guerilla Game new video game, players can wander around its vast open world and hunt mechanical monsters. These creatures are expected to drop items that can either be traded to merchants or used to craft other items.
Interestingly enough, two of "Horizon Zero Dawn's" Very Rare items show a very familiar icon which is the Kojima Productions Logo. These two items are called Stranded Figure and Stranded Shackles which appear to be a reference to Kojima's game trailers.
Other than those three discovered Easter eggs, there are no other reported items to have appeared as a Kojima Productions Easter egg in "Horizon Zero Dawn." The game is set to be released in 2018 which gives players another year to discover even more Easter eggs until "Death Stranding" officially launches.
"Death Stranding" is expected to be released in 2018. This would be Hideo Kojima's first video game ever since he left Konami to build his own video game studio. The Japanese video game maker is famous for his work with the "Metal Gear" franchise.
