'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite' Development Update: Game Features, Trailer, Release Date, More Heroes and New Villain
Fans are now aboard the hype train with the latest development update for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" that is coming their way in the second half of 2017. Marvel and Disney have both confirmed recently that they have scrapped the idea of a tie-in between their video games with movie releases.
In fact, this, according to game pundits, is quite a good news. At DICE 2017, Marvel Games creative director Bill Rosemann talked to IGN and discussed its development plans for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite."
Rosemann did confirm that the teams who are working on Marvel's titles including "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" now are given a complete freedom to write storylines that are different from the films. What's more is that they're no longer required to launch these video games that ties in with future movies.
The games mentioned by Rosemann include "Spider-Man" coming to PS4, "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series", "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" and Square Enix's "The Avengers". Sadly enough, he didn't say or drop a clue about the game's exact release date.
More Heroes and New Villain
The first trailer release was seen in December for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" showed Marvel heroes like Captain Marvel, Captain America, and Iron Man. On the opposing side are Capcom's Ryu, Mega Man X, and Morrigan. All these characters who also made it to the roster in the previous installments are confirmed to make a return in the next game.
According to Marvel and Capcom, they intend to introduce additional heroes that were not yet included in past games. Both Marvel and Capcom characters will not just fight it out in the arena but they will also pit against a new villain in the game.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will also make the Infinity stones a lot more significant, where players can use its power to give their characters' skills a big boost or grant them a new power. It represents the six various elements of the universe such as mind, power, reality, space, soul, and time.
Players will also see the addition of all-new 2v2 matches and multiplayer mode will also become available online. Capcom Unity, in its blog, also mentioned that the game will have stunning visuals plus an engaging cinematic Story Mode. "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is a fighting game set to hit Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC. It is given a 2017 release window, which is assumed to happen in late 2017.
