"The Korean phone maker will tomorrow start running a print ad campaign in national and regional papers that compares the features of its Galaxy S III with those of Apple's iPhone 5," reports All Things D. The ad says "It doesn't take a genius" followed by the specs of both the smartphones.
In the comparison, Samsung details Galaxy S3's specs like screen size, battery life, screen resolution et al along with features S Voice, S-Beam, Smart Alert, Tilt to Zoom, Direct Call, Turn Over to Mute, and more.
On the other hand iPhone 5's specs have been indicated on the ad along with features like Siri only. Moreover, iPhone 5's specs on the ad states "a totally different plug," hinting at the new 8-pin Lightning connector. Samsung has not mentioned vital iPhone 5's features like Passbook, iSight camera, iMessage, iCloud, or any of the other enhancements coming to iOS 6.
With stiff competition in the smartphone market, companies are trying their hard to offer the best devices to the smartphone enthusiasts. However, Samsung's new ad campaign pitches itself as the better smartphone vis-a-vs Apple's iPhone 5.
Is anyone's guess if the new Samsung ad will fuel a new battle between Samsung and Apple?
