Apple is expected to unveil their latest tablet offerings, the 2017 Apple iPad tablets, sometime within the next few weeks or so. New reports that have recently surfaced seems to confirm this speculation as several iPad models are apparently already being tested around San Francisco and Cupertino. What is even more surprising is that Apple may be coming out with not just three new variants of the iPad tablet, but most likely four new models.

According to a report from Phone Arena, new data gathered from the mobile marketing tech company Fiksu reveals that four new iPad models are being sent out for testing. Data taken straight from the company's logs show that the four models are carrying the internal names "7,1" "7,2," "7,3," and "7,4." This is similar to the "6,3/6,4" and "6,7/6,8" model names that were spotted a month before the launch of the Apple iPad Pro last year.

Additionally, the four models were revealed to have been installed with a mix of the iOS 10.3 beta and the iOS 11 operating systems. Previous reports, specifically the ones published by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kou, have only pegged three Apple iPad models to be coming out. The new 2017 Apple iPad models include a budget 9.7-inch iPad, a 10.5-inch version that will replace the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and a large 12.3-inch iPad Pro.

Both the 10.5-inch and 12.3-inch iPad Pro models will reportedly be sporting the company's latest A10X chip, while the budget-friendly 9.7-inch model will be coming with the A9 chip, similar to the ones found on the Apple iPhone 6s. The analyst further speculates that the 9.7-inch model will likely be taking 50 to 60 percent of the overall sales generated to the new models, seeing as that it will be the variant that will be most accessible for consumers, financially speaking.

While there is still no concrete information yet on the actual 2017 Apple iPad models that will be coming out. Apple is speculated to unveil all of their new products sometime within the month, most likely without any type of major announcement.
