Samsung hasn't really been trying to keep their upcoming flagship smartphones under wraps as numerous leaked videos and images have already surfaced online. While the majority of the details regarding the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are already known, there is apparently still a lot more that has yet to be revealed.

According to a report from GSM Arena, Samsung will be releasing a slew of new accessories that will be launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus next week. The accessories include a new Samsung-branded power bank, which had been leaked just a few days ago. Now, the latest leaks are regarding the company's new DeX Station accessory for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

The Galaxy S8 DeX, which is short for Desktop Experience, essentially allows users to use the smartphone as a desktop PC. The accessory will have a multitude of ports, which will let users attach their Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone onto an external monitor, mouse, and keyboard. The Galaxy S8 DeX Station will let users interact with different desktop applications that are aimed at improving productivity.

Based on the leaks provided by Win Future, the Galaxy S8 DeX Station will apparently be coming with several ports including two USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C port for power, an HDMI port for video output, and an Ethernet port that will be capable of up to 100 Mbps speeds. Additionally, the Galaxy S8 DeX Station also comes with its own active cooling fans that can regulate the temperature of the device.

The fans will allow for better cooling efficiency during heavy use, such as opening multiple apps, browsing several tabs, or churning out 4K resolution videos at 30 frames per second. The Galaxy S8 DeX Station has also been revealed to have a retail price of around $160. More information regarding the accessory should be released during Samsung's upcoming unveiling event on March 29.
