The convertible Chromebooks are currently owning one of the top spots on gadgets' trend list. Lenovo rides on this popularity by introducing its own Chromebook, the Flex 11.

What is more captivating about Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook is that behind its affordable price, which is about $279 only, it is made strong components inside and out. It is an 11.6-inch tablet and laptop hybrid with a 2.1GHz quad-core ARM processor. Having a built-in multimode 360-degree hinge, Flex 11 can be either as a tablet or as a laptop and by just bending the screen in 360 degrees, a video can be watched with no necessity for a stand, says The Verge.

Turning the device into a tablet is just as easy as twisting it 360 degrees and fold. According to Tech Radar, its features also include a 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage, 1366 x 768 pixels on its resolution. Although having an ARM SoC as its processor is not as fast as the core chips of other Chromebooks and its display is not as crisp as what others have, Flex 11 is still a worthy device to have compared to other convertibles.

Proceeding to Flex 11's connectivity features, it has a USB Type-C support together with USB 3.0, HDMI and a slot for SD card. This device from Lenovo is considered having a robust design ready for tough uses, which includes a water resistant coating on its keyboard and trackpad, which could hold up to 2210ml of water spill. The channels under the keyboard layer disable the water to further go down into the electric components.

The laptop ports are also coated against damages that may cause by water, reported Wccftech. Not only that, but it also has a mild drop resistant feature from 75 cm or 2.4 feet. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a non-slip textured coating for safety grip. Lenovo also flaunted the battery of Flex 11. It said to have 10-hour life from a single charge only. Though it is not the thinnest or the lightest laptop among the hybrid class, but its tough features can give and edge to it.

Although some may consider that a better device to buy is the Acer Thinkpad, however, it is more inclined to the needs of a student and it costs higher at $439. With the price of Lenovo Chromebook Flex 11, it is quite a real deal for those who want to try using a convertible Chromebook.
