The release of Carpool Karaoke of Apple Inc's Apple Music has been delayed. It is the first original video series of the company which is an adaptation from the popular segment of comedian James Corden.

In "The Late Late Show with James Corden" on CBS, Carpool Karaoke is a segment where Corden is driving with a celebrity while singing a medley of songs. In an email from CBS Television Studios, it stated that they are excited about their Carpool Karaoke for Apple Music and that they are looking forward to everyone seeing it. While James Corden expressed to some reporters at a panel of Television Critics Association that he was incredibly proud, especially that this would be the first ever show on Apple Music, reported CNET.

Last February, during the Code Media conference, Apple has announced that the show will have its premiere in April and this is exclusively available for Apple Music subscribers only. According to Reuters, a trailer about the Carpool Karaoke was even shown at the event by Eddy Cue, senior vice president of internet software and services of Apple. Popular singers like Alicia Keys, Will Smith, John Legend and Ariana Grande were featured on the said trailer of the series. The scheduled premiere party for Carpool Karaoke, which was supposed to happen in March was also postponed. There was no explanation a few days before it. The launch party which is first scheduled this week is also postponed until next week.

The Cupertino tech giant, known to have product launches which are well coordinated with each other, have not said anything regarding these delays, instead, they just announced that Carpool Karaoke: The Series will debut late this year in Apple Music, says The Verge. Apple Music was launched in the middle of 2015 and the company's struggle to gain traction for this is obvious. With $9.99 cost a month and heavy promotions to iPhone users, the service earned 20 million subscribers by the end of 2016.

However its rival, Spotify claimed that it already had 50 million subscribers last March, which has both free version and $9.99 monthly subscription. Primarily, Apple Music offered streaming music to its subscribers but with the hope of gaining more customers, they thought of incorporating more exclusive video content like what they are planning to have in Carpool Karaoke.
