Motorola conducted a soak test last March for the Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Moto X Pure Edition, which was first released two years ago. It seems that the company is sticking to its promise to be one of the fastest in providing software updates.

Moto X Pure Edition is mostly known as Moto X Style outside the United States. Now that the soak test is done, Motorola has gladly announced that the software update is already available. Smartphone users will receive a notification regarding the update but can also be done manually, says GSM Arena.

The new software update can be checked by going to Settings, then About, and System Updates. As of this moment, only some Reddit users received this update for their Moto X Pure, since early this week, reported Phone Arena. Various new features are expected to be with the Android 7.0 Nougat update and Motorola included the New Moto Actions.

In the official website of Motorola mobile support, it was stated that the company is excited to roll out this update to their valued customers. They assure a lot of improvements can be experienced after installing it, such as the new multitasking feature. In this feature, the user could do a quick switch between apps, a multi-window view and it will also be efficient for Work users.

Android 7.0 Nougat update will also provide a date saver feature, which reduces data usage. Applications that are running in the background will no longer have an access to cellular data. 9to5google said that users also have an option to adjust data access for individual applications. The update will also include a Doze on the Go feature, which enables lower battery consumption when the device is not in use or the screen is off. When it comes to notifications, Android 7.0 Nougat gives a reply option right into the notification. Not only that, it also has a bundled notification that will allow multiple notifications from the same apps to be received all at once. It will also have more options on what you want to do with a notification.

There are still more new features that come with Android 7.0 Nougat, these are just a few of them. However, Motorola noted that once this update is done, users won't be able to downgrade to a previous software version.
